 Corona didn’t get the desired result. Let’s try the “climate crisis”

1. The Earth’s climate over time has always changed,  sometimes dramatically.  In ancient times, the solution was to simply migrate — usually to a warmer climate.  Something we needn’t do now with modern heating and air conditioning.  A kilometer of ice covering Ohio didn’t eventually melt because of SUVs and fossil fuels.
2. In periods of global climactic change, some areas experience negative effects,…”too hot”/“too cold.”  Other areas experience positive effects,…more moderate temperatures, a greater growing season and more plentiful plant life.
3. No one can say what a “correct” global temperature is and there is no way to micro-manage the globe in a way that produces an arbitrarily chosen “correct” temperature for everyone everywhere
4. There is no person or institution in the climate movement that is not ultimately aiming for a more centrally controlled political order.  “Saving the planet”  always comes down to restricting individual freedom and putting humanity under the boot of an elite clique of pseudo- intellectual “planners.” 
5. The Earth’s atmospheric CO2 content is currently less than one percent. To go much further below that amount would result in the loss of trees and plant life.
6. If cost-benefit is a consideration, the trillions of dollars needed to meet bureaucratically determined “goals” would better be spent adapting to climactic changes (whatever their cause), cleaning up the horrid excess of plastics in the ocean, and developing sane, safe, and abundant sources of energy (which would not include stupid ideas like “wind farms”).
7. Schemes like commanding the production of electric cars and scaring the landscape with wind farms and solar panels is beyond stupid.
8. The authoritarian collectivist’s “plan” always inevitably requires self deprivation, restriction, and a reactionary return to times of less abundance and negative progress.
9. People like Al Gore, John Kerry, Greta Thunberg, and Barack Obama are hypocrites, liars, and fools. People (like Obama) who warn of rising sea levels while building sea side mansions are full of shit.
10. A society that is free to innovate and address global problems will…innovate and address global problems.
11. A government addressing a problem (real or contrived) will more often than not exacerbate the problem and open the Pandora’s box of unintended consequences.
